How do I set up my store on VDOlocal?

Get in touch with us and we'll walk you through the guided 6-step setup: (1) enter your shop identity, (2) add your location and hours, (3) optionally link payments, (4) choose your plan on a 7-day free trial, (5) optionally add storefront photos, and (6) optionally add your first product, then publish. Only identity, location and plan are required to go live; everything else is optional and can be added later. The whole thing takes a few minutes from the same phone you use for WhatsApp, and it saves automatically so you can resume anytime.

Before you start: referral code & import

If a VDOlocal agent signed you up, you can enter their referral code (for example AGENT001), or simply choose "Continue without referral code." It's completely optional.

Already selling on Shopify, Dukaan or WooCommerce? Use the guided import to bring your store across instead of starting from scratch.

Identity · required

Add your shop name, owner name and category (picked from a list), plus an optional WhatsApp number. Your verified phone number is already locked in and shown as "Verified." This step creates your shop on VDOlocal.

Location & Hours · required

Enter your PIN code first and VDOlocal auto-fills your city and state. Set your operating hours and your delivery options, local radius, city-wide, or courier, with an optional free-delivery radius and charges. Your location also powers nearby (50km) discovery for shoppers.

Payments · optional

Optionally connect your Razorpay account so customers can pay online direct to your payment gateway. VDOlocal never holds your money. You can skip this and add it whenever you're ready.

Choose Plan · required

Pick Basic (photo storefront) or Video+ (photo, video and live streaming). Every plan starts as a 7-day free trial, no payment required to begin selling.

Photos · optional

Capture a GPS-tagged storefront photo with your live camera so nearby shoppers can discover your real shop, add your shop logo, and optionally your GST or licence. Images are compressed on your phone before upload, so it's fast even on a slow connection.

First Product · optional

Add your first product with a name, price, up to 5 photos and an optional product video. That's all it takes to have a real, shareable product live on your storefront.

Going live

On the completion screen you'll see a live preview of your buyer-facing storefront and your first product. Choose "Complete KYC & Go Live" to fully verify and publish, or "Submit & Go to Dashboard" to jump straight in. Publishing makes your storefront live for shoppers immediately, and your 7-day free trial begins.

It saves as you go

Every step is saved to your account the moment you complete it. If you get interrupted, just sign back in on any device. VDOlocal checks what you've finished and drops you back at the first incomplete step. No progress is ever lost.

Can I move my existing store from Shopify, Dukaan or WooCommerce?
Yes. If you already sell on Shopify, Dukaan or WooCommerce, VDOlocal offers a guided import so you don't have to start from scratch.

Do I need documents or KYC to get started?
